Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of nursing based on empowerment theory in elderly stroke patients with frailty.Methods A total of 124 elderly stroke patients with frailty admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects,and they were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 62 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine nursing intervention,and patients in the observation group were given nursing intervention based on empowerment theory on the basis of routine nursing.The mood state,neurological impairment,self-care ability,frailty management compliance and self-efficacy of the two groups were compared.Results After 4 and 12 weeks of intervention,the Brief Profile of Mood States scores,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale scores,Barthel Index scores,and General Self-Efficacy Scale scores of both groups were better than those before intervention(all P＜0.05),and the above scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group during the same period(all P＜0.05).After 12 weeks of intervention,the above scores in both groups were better than those after 4 weeks of intervention(all P＜0.05).After 4 and 12 weeks of intervention,the good rate of frailty management compliance in the observation group was higher than that in the control group during the same period(both P＜0.05).Conclusion Nursing based on empowerment theory can improve the mood state and neurological impairment of elderly stroke patients with frailty,enhance their self-care ability,frailty management compliance,and self-efficacy.关键词
