Origin Analysis and Health Risk Assessment of Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum by ICP-MS Combined with Stoichiometry

Abstract
Objective:To study the correlation between inorganic elements and the producing area of Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum by measuring the contents of 37 kinds of inorganic elements,and to assess the health risk of five kinds of heavy metals and harmful ele-ments in Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum.Methods:HNO3-H2O2 microwave digestion inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used to determine the contents of inorganic elements in 14 batches of Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum,cluster analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis(PLS-DA)were performed,the daily maximum tolerable intake,target hazard coefficient and carcinogenic risk of five heavy metals and harmful elements were calculated.Results:There was a certain correlation between the contents of inorgan-ic elements in Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum and its producing area,14 of which were different elements.When the contents of heavy metals and harmful elements in Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum were combined with the maximum tolerable daily intake,target hazard co-efficient and carcinogenic risk as the evaluation criteria,there were certain health risk of As,Hg,Cd and Pb in 14 batches of samples,but no potential carcinogenic risk caused by taking the Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum.Conclusion:The study provides a basis for the re-search on the correlation of contents of inorganic elements and the origin of Chinese herbal medicine,and the established risk assess-ment model can further improve the safety quality standard of Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum,and can be used for the quality control of Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum.关键词
