摘要

Abstract

Bupleurum marginatum var.stenophyllum is a Chinese medicinal plant mainly cultivated in Dingxi,Gansu in recent years,with the yield and saikosaponin significantly higher than Bupleurum chinense DC.and B.scorzonerifolium Wild.Although not listed in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 edition),this herb is widely used as an adulterant in B.chinense.Here,we comprehensively reviewed the recent progress in the cultivation,origin,morphology,phytochemistry,pharmacology,and toxicity,aiming to provide an objective understanding for the utilization of this herb.
