Mechanism of Acupuncture Treatment of Cognitive Impairment in Parkinson's Disease Based on the Theory of Brain-Gut Axis
摘要
Abstract
The brain-gut axis,as an information channel between the brain and the gastrointestinal tract,is closely related to Parkinson's disease cognitive impairment(PDCI).Acupuncture can improve PDCI in clinical practice,but its mechanism of action has not been fully clarified.In this paper,by summarizing the function of the brain-gut axis,the risk factors and pathogenesis of PDCI,and the influence of the brain-gut axis on cognition and so on,we explore how acupuncture regulates the abundance of gut microbiota and levels of brain gut peptides,balances the hormone release of the hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis(HPA),inhibits inflammatory responses,and protects nerves,thereby improving PDCI.关键词
