From Context Image to Abstract Geometric Expression in Architectural Typology:A Case of the Image Analogy in Aldo Rossi's Paintings

Abstract
This paper briefly summarizes the formation and development of architectural typology.From the Renaissance to the New Rationalism after modernism,the theory of architectural typology has reached maturity in the exploration and development of Aldo Rossi.Modern architectural typology is a design thinking mode based on European historical context and abstracting"prototype".This paper analyzes the historical and abstract characteristics of Rossi's paintings,and analyzes the creative techniques of analogy in his paintings.Then,taking San Cataldo cemetery of Rossi as an example,this paper discusses the typological space of reappearing history in abstraction.关键词
