Research on the Optimization Strategy of Public Space in Historical Blocks Based on Place Theory:A Case of Yuliang South Road in Jiujiang

Abstract
Place is a material space endowed with special meaning by human beings,which embodies the interaction between human beings and space.Under the background of"people-oriented"development concept in the new era,this paper takes Yuliang South Road in Jiujiang City as an example to analyze its physical space,historical context and crowd activities on the basis of field investigation from the perspective of place theory,aiming at solving the problems that public space in historical blocks can not meet people's growing diversified needs and lack of sense of place.Respectively from the aspects of landscape style,space function,leisure activities,and context continuation,the paper puts forward the public space optimization strategies to make it a place to stimulate people's attachment feelings.It provides ideas for the construction of public space in historical blocks.关键词
