Classics and Art Tend to Separate:On the Purpose and the Tendency of"Nature and Spirit"in Baoting's Poetics
摘要
Abstract
Bao Ting was known as"the first poet of the Eight Banners in the late Qing Dynasty".In fact,the influence of his poetry is not limited to the Eight Banners,and the interpretive community of his poetics just misses the mark.Manifest in his deprecation of"poetry and painting"was the conscious stance assumed for traditional poetry to leave the"rites and music"education system towards"art"ipso facto.He no longer paid attention to the common demarcation between"poetry teaching"and"temperament"in his discussion of poetry,but combines"poetry teaching"with"the exquisite and inferior dichotomy",which in effect meant an integration of the two major generation systems of ancient poetry theory and a redefinition of the elements and standards of"poetry as poetry",reflecting the development logic and possibility trend of traditional poetics,and highly informing the exploration into the ontological significance of"poetry as poetry".Only with the combination of the persona of Baoting,his study and the context of his poetry can we properly understand and grasp the significance of Baoting poetics.关键词
