Role and mechanism of acoustic communication in Lepidoptera
摘要
Abstract
Insects have acoustic communication like other animals on earth,which plays an important role in interspecies and in-traspecific communication,defense against natural enemies,courtship,etc.Under long-term pressure from predators,lepidopteran insects have evolved vocal and auditory organs for acoustic communication to reduce the risk of predation.In this paper,the role of acoustic communication,structural characteristics of vocal and auditory organs,phonation modes in lepidopteran insects were re-viewed,and the potential of using acoustic waves to control lepidopteran pests was prospected,which can provide a reference for in-depth research on acoustic communication in lepidopterans,and also provide ideas for the green control of the pests.关键词
