Abstract

Identifying the key soil bacterial taxa and community composition of typical subtrop-ical forests is essential for a deeper understanding of the plant-microbe-soil interaction.In this study,we collected the soil samples from pure Pinus massoniana stands,mixed broadleaf forests,mixed forests of Pinus massoniana and broadleaf trees,and natural secondary forests.The bacterial com-munity composition was determined by 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing.The results showed that Acidobacteria,Proteobacteria,Planctomycetes,and Chloroflexi were the dominant bacterial phyla.The Shannon diversity index of bacteria and the bacterial community composition differed significant-ly among different forest types.Furthermore,soil pH value and nutrient availability significantly influence the dominant bacterial phyla and alpha diversity index.These results suggested that near-natural restoration of monocultures in subtropical areas can regulate soil bacterial community compo-sition by altering the soil pH value and nutrient availability.Our findings provide scientific support for the sustainable management of subtropical forests.
