Expression and clinical significance of LncRNA LINC00460 and miR-98-5p in tumor tissues of patients with non-small cell lung cancer

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of long non-coding RNA(ln-cRNA)LINC00460 and microRNA-98-5p(miR-98-5p)in tumor tissues of patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods A retrospective study was conducted using clinical data from 57 NSCLC patients between January 2017 and December 2018.Tumor tissue and adjacent non-tumor tissue(2 cm away from the tumor edge)were collected during surgery.The expression levels of miR-98-5p and LncRNA LINC00460 in tumor and adjacent non-tumor tissues were compared.The correlation between the expression of miR-98-5p,LncRNA LINC00460,and patho-logical features in tumor tissues was analyzed.The expression of miR-98-5p and LncRNA LINC00460 in tumor tissues was compared between patients with different prognoses.Logistic regression analysis was performed to assess the relation-ship between the expression of miR-98-5p,LncRNA LINC00460 in tumor tissues,and patient prognosis.The overall survival rates of patients with different expression levels of miR-98-5p and LncRNA LINC00460 in tumor tissues were compared.A line chart analysis was conducted to evaluate the prognostic value of miR-98-5p and LncRNA LINC00460 in patients.Results The expression of miR-98-5p in tumor tissues was lower than that in adjacent non-tumor tis-sues,while the expression of LncRNA LINC00460 in tumor tissues was higher than that in adjacent non-tumor tissues(P＜0.05).The expression of miR-98-5p and LncRNA LINC00460 in tumor tissues of NSCLC patients was associated with clinical stage,differentiation degree,and lymph node metastasis(P＜0.05).Deceased patients had lower miR-98-5p expression and higher LncRNA LINC00460 expression in tumor tissues compared to survivors(P＜0.05).Logistic re-gression analysis showed that high expression of LncRNA LINC00460 and low expression of miR-98-5p in tumor tissues were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in NSCLC patients(P＜0.05).Patients with high LncRNA LINC00460 expression in tumor tissues had lower overall survival rates than those with low expression,while patients with high miR-98-5p expression had higher overall survival rates than those with low expression(P＜0.05).The line chart prediction model constructed for assessing patient prognosis based on miR-98-5p and LncRNA LINC00460 showed a high degree of concordance with actual mortality risk(x2=6.902,P=0.547).Conclusion NSCLC patients exhibited abnormally high expression of LncRNA LINC00460 and abnormally low expression of miR-98-5p in tumor tissues.The degree of abnormal expression was closely related to patient prognosis,providing a reference for clinical prognosis assessment.关键词
