Abstract
Aiming at the development requirements of high burning rate propellant,a lower-cost carborane derivative containing ferrocene(TPT-01)was selected,and the influence of TPT-01 as a burning rate catalyst on the processing properties,combustion performance,safety of high burning rate HTPB solid propellants,as well as the mobility of TPT-01 were studied.The results show that after the addition of 6%TPT-01,propellant slurry shows lower viscosity and better processing properties,and both propellant slurry and cured propellants present excellent safety.The burning rate of propellants increases from 24.2 mm/s to 49.6 mm/s at 6.86 MPa,and the static pressure index of propellant is 0.330 when the pressure ranges from 6.86MPa to 15 MPa.Besides,TPT-01 shows lower mobility than octylferrocene,which is beneficial to the combustion stability and the interface bonding performance of propellants.Compared with the physical blending of octylferrocene and carborane,TPT-01 is a better combustion catalyst.关键词
