Abstract

In order to accurately determine the relationship between the length of the stillingbasin and its energy dissipation effect,taking the example of the Baimenzhou Reservoir in the Lushui River Irrigation Area on the north bank of the Lushui River in Anfu County,quantitative analysis was carried out on the specific degree of influence of the length of the energy dissipation pool on the flow pattern,the dynamic water pressure on the bottom plate and the tail slope,the pulsating pressure,and the overall energy dissipation rate based on the design calculation of the energy dissipation pool length.The results show that the longer the length of the pool,the better the value of the hydraulic characteristic indexes inside the pool,and it can significantly improve the connection status of the outflow and downstream river flow.At the same time,the increase in the length of the energy dissipation pool has a relatively small impact on the overall energy dissipation efficiency of the pool.Therefore,it is necessary to determine the length of the stillingbasin reasonably on the basis of comprehensively comparing the hydraulic characteristics,energy and energy dissipation effect and the project cost in the pool.
