Abstract

Carbon supported CoMn bimetallic catalyst was successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method,and the performance of the catalyst for the degradation of RhB by activated persulfate(PMS)was investigated.The results of X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy showed that the catalyst was composed of amorphous carbon,CoO,Co and amorphous manganese species.CoMn bimetallic particles are uniformly loaded on the carbon surface.When the room temperature was 25℃and the initial pH was 4.7,0.02 g/L catalyst and 0.04 g/L PMS were added.After 4 min reaction,the removal rate of RhB(50 mg/L)reached 100%.In the presence of anions(NO3-and Cl-)and natural organic compounds(HA),the degradation of RhB is inhibited to varying degrees.The cycle results showed that the degradation rate of RhB could still reach 88.04%at 4 min after being reused for 4 times,indicating that the catalyst had good stability.
