Degradation of Rhodamine B by persulfate activated with SrxCoO3 perovskite

Abstract
The SrxCoO3 catalyst was synthesized by sol-gel method and characterized by XRD and SEM.The degradation effect of Rhodamine B(RhB)in solution by SrxCoO3 activated peroxydisulfate(PMS)was examined.The characterization results reveal a perovskite-like crystal structure of the SrxCoO3 catalyst.The experimental results show that under the conditions of pH 3.0-9.0,Sr0.8CoO3 amount 0.030 g/L,PMS amount 0.06 mmol/L and reaction time 30 min,the RhB removal rate can reach 96%.The response surface analysis results indicate that there is a synergistic effect among the initial pH,Sr0.8CoO3 amount and PMS amount,and the effect of Sr0.8CoO3 amount and PMS amount is more significant.The predicted values from the regression model established using Design-Expeter software are highly correlated with the experimental values,accurately reflecting the actual removal of RhB.关键词
