摘要

Abstract

In response to the gas-liquid separation in on-orbit space missions,the mechanism of the phase separation process based on the porous structures is analyzed at the pore scale.The characterizations and testing methods for capillary wicking,pressure drop of single-phase flow,and bubble breakthrough pressure of porous structures are systematically summarized in this paper.Taking into account the phase separation capability and the separation requirements of spacecraft,the space applications and related optimization strategies of liquid management tech-nology based on porous structures are summarized,including cryogenic propellant tanks,heat pump liquid reservoirs,and heat pipe evaporators.Furthermore,suggestive development direc-tions for the space application of the liquid management technology are provided in this paper,including improvement of separation performance based on advanced porous structures,separa-tion performance considering heat transfer and phase change processes,and technical challenges on practical application.Guidance for the development and performance improvement of related products are provided.
