Abstract
Objective To investigate the main caregiver burden of children with primary congenital glaucoma(PCG)after surgery,and analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide effective reference for improving the caregiver burden.Methods By convenient sampling method,61 PCG children undergoing surgical treatment in the Ophthalmology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from September 2018 to May 2021 were selected to collect demo-graphic data of the children and their main caregivers,and Zarit caregiver burden interview(ZCBI)was used to evaluate the burden status of the main caregivers of PCG children.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of caregiver burden.Results The ZCBI scores of 61 caregivers of PCG children ranged from 5 to 63 points,indicating mild to moderate burden,of which 17(27.87％)had no burden,25(40.98％)had mild burden,16(26.23％)had moderate burden,and 3(4.92％)had severe burden.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the disease duration of PCG children(β=0.198,B=1.955,95％CI:0.539-3.370,P=0.008)and the daily care duration of PCG children(β=0.627,B=11.453,95％CI:8.231-14.675,P＜0.001)and the number of caregivers involved in the care of the child(β=0.207,B=3.807,95％CI:0.969-6.645,P=0.009)was the risk factor for primary caregiver burden,and education level(β=-0.323,B=-4.851,95％CI:-7.595--2.106,P=0.001)was the protective factor for primary caregiver burden.Conclu-sion Nursing staff should take effective measures,such as providing physiological and psychological guidance,to help PCG caregivers improve their family,social support and coping ability,and reduce their care burden.关键词
