Abstract
Objective The epidemiological and etiological characteristics of hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)from 2013 to 2022 in Doumen District of Zhuhai were analyzed to provide scientific basis for effective prevention and control of HFMD.Methods The incidence data of HFMD in Doumen District of Zhuhai from 2013 to 2022 were collected through China Disease Prevention and Control Information System.Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the data,and Excel 2019 and SPSS 17.0 software were used to classify,make statistics and analyze the data.Results A total of 27 158 cases of HFMD were reported in Doumen District of Zhuhai from 2013 to 2022,with an average annual incidence of 554.12/100 000.The incidence of HFMD in males was higher than that in females,the difference was statistically significant(x2=376.178,P＜0.001).The incidence of HFMD was mainly concentrated in scattered children and children under 6 years old,accounting for 95.56％.The dominant pathogen gradually changed from EV71 to other enteroviruses.Conclu-sion HFMD increased every other year in Doumen District of Zhuhai from 2013 to 2022,showing a bimodal distribution with obvious seasonality.Health education for scattered children and children in kindergartens should be strengthened during the high incidence season.关键词
