Analysis of the current status and influencing factors of health literacy in medical institutions from the perspective of healthcare professionals
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the current situation of health literacy of medical institutions in Hangzhou from the perspective of medical staff, and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A convenience sampling method was employed to select 557 healthcare workers from 10 hospitals in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province.A field investigation was conducted using a general data questionnaire and the HLHO-10-C,which is the Chinese version of the 10-feature questionnaire of health literacy promotion for medical and health institutions. Results Among the 557 medical staff surveyed, the total scores of HLHO-10-C were 5.90(5.40,6.30).The tertiary hospital medical staff had a score of 5.90(5.50,6.30),while secondary hospital medical staff scored 5.80(5.10,6.10).Item 3 received generally low scores, whereas items 6,8 and 9 obtained high scores.Through multiple linear regression analysis,it was found that the role, educational background, hospital level and JCI certification of the research subjects were significant influencing factors on HLHO-10-C score(P<0.05).Conclusions The surveyed hospitals demonstrated satisfactory performance in terms of medical guidance, medication use, informed consent for surgery and notification of medical expenses;however, they neglected the process of patients'involvement in health information development.Managers of medical institutions should promote and incentivize patient engagement in the development of health information, while also prioritizing the use of personalized health information for specific patient populations to enhance overall health literacy within healthcare organizations.关键词
