Abstract

In order to reasonably analyze the distortion effect of a trapezoidal box girder with corrugated steel webs and steel bottom plates,its entire cross-section is theoretically approximated to be equivalent to steel according to the principle that the in-plane and out of plane bending stiffness of each plate should be unchanged.The constraint effect of the top and bottom plates on the corrugated steel webs is considered by using the Saint-Venant principle,the coordinate distribution mode of the distortion sector is modified,and the differential equation for distortion is established based on the energy variational method.Compared with the existing literature and finite element analysis,the influence of web depression angle and thickness change of corrugated steel web on the distortion warping normal stress is studied.The results show that the analytical solution in this paper is in good agreement with the literature solution and ANSYS solution.The modified sector coordinate distribution model based on Saint-Venant principle is more reasonable.The equivalent method in this paper can also be used to analyze the distortion effect of traditional corrugated steel web composite box girders.The setting of the web depression angle is beneficial to reduce the distortion warping normal stress.The thickness variation of the corrugated steel web has a significant effect on the distortion warping normal stress at the intersection of the web and the bottom plate.
