茅建春运用膏方治疗强直性脊柱炎经验
MAO Jianchun's experience in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with plasters

Abstract
Ankylosing spondylitis(AS)is a chronic progressive,systemic inflammatory disease,and a common and refractory immune-related disease.Having been treating the disease for many years,Mao Jianchun is experienced in its treatment with plasters.Based on many years of clinical practice,she believes that the basic pathogenesis of AS(or kyphosis in Chinese medicine)lies in the congenital deficiency of kidney and the paralysis of governor vessel by wind,cold and dampness.Winter is the time for nourishing and maintaining the kidney,and the tonic contents in plasters may mostly enter the kidney meridian when they are applied in winter,achieving the effect of invigorating the essence and strengthening the kidney meridian.Accordingly,she proposes the basic treatment principle for AS:tonifying the kidney,strengthening the spine and warming the governor vessel to cultivate original essence,invigorating blood circulation and clearing collaterals to dispel all the pathogens,caring for the spleen and stomach throughout the whole process.This article summarizes Mao Jianchun's experience in the treatment of AS with plasters and shares two medical cases in order to provide some ideas and methods for the TCM treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.关键词
