Application of a two-dimensional overland flow model in causal relationship analysis of farmland flooding damage

Abstract
Currently,there is a need to understand the causal relationship between the construction of artificial structures and farmland flooding damage for many practical reasons;however,existing identification methods exhibit low accuracy,which has weakened their credibility.A two-dimensional surface flow model can accommodate the simulation calculations required to determine agricultural environmental causality,while improving the accuracy of causality determination.This study has simulated and analyzed the submerged range,submerged water depth,submerged flow rate,and submersion duration of flooded farmland before and after the construction of artificial structures,determined the causal relationship between rainfall and farmland flooding damage,and revealed a relationship between flooding damage and impairment of drainage conditions.These methods have been verified using spatio-temporal correlation and historical measured data.The results show that the two-dimensional surface flow model can be used to effectively perform a causal relationship analysis of farmland flooding damage,while providing a new perspective and exhibiting large-scale applicability.关键词
