Abstract

In this paper,a fiber temperature and magnetic field sensing structure was prepared by integrating two polymer micro-ellipsoids on the fiber taper.Fiber taper was prepared by the method of melting pull,and the length of fiber taper is 0.8 mm.The two polymer micro-ellipsoids,which consist of magnetic micro-ellipsoid and non-magnetic micro-ellipsoid,were integrated with fiber taper using ultraviolet curing technique.The lengths of two polymer micro-ellipsoids in the long axis and short axis are 0.4 mm and 0.2 mm,respectively.The length of exposed fiber taper between magnetic and non-magnetic micro-ellipsoids is 0.2 mm.There are multiple interference peaks in the transmission spectrum with different responses to the temperature and magnetic field.Peak A and peak B were measured in details.The magnetic field sensitivities of peak A and peak B are 0.077 27 nm·mT-1 and 0.067 45 nm·mT-1 in the range of 5~35 mT;and the temperature sensitivities of the peak A and peak B are 0.228 73 nm·℃-1 and 0.161 62 nm·℃-1 between 30℃and 60℃respectively,The simultaneous measurement of temperature and magnetic field can be achieved by using the method of the sensitivity matrix.Due to the low cost,easy fabrication and high sensitivity,the sensor will have an important application prospects in biochemical,industrial and other fields.
