Study on the antidepressant effect of Yuanbaocao

Abstract
Objective A preliminary study was conducted on the antidepressant effect of Yuanbaocao,a traditional Chinese medicine.Methods The rats were randomly divided into groups.Except for the blank control group,the other groups were subjected to chronic unpredictable stimulation experiments for modeling.The high,medium,and low dose groups of Yuanbaocao were administered by gavage,and the model group and the blank control group were administered the same volume of physiological saline by gavage.At the same time,a weekly behavioral despair experiment in rats(including forced swimming experiment and tail suspension experiment)was conducted to evaluate the antidepressant effect of Yuanbaocao.Results The results showed that the medium and high dose Yuanbaocao groups could better reverse the despair behavior and emotional state of depressed rats.Conclusion Yuanbaocao has a good antidepressant effect.关键词
