An Automatic Batch Computation Approach for Spatial Gini Coefficient Driven by 3-Layer Feature Class Structure

Abstract
In order to avoid the misunderstanding and misusage of spatial Gini coefficient calculation models,and overcome the drawbacks of the traditional computation methods,this paper firstly analyzes the computation principles and main models of spatial Gini coefficient from absolute and relative perspectives,then proposes an automatic batch computation approach driven by 3-layer feature class structure,and takes the computation of absolute spatial Gini coefficient based on information entropy(AG8)as an example,expounding the field components and their relationships of 3-level feature class structure in Geodatabase,and con-cretely describing the building ways and the executive process of new model tools for implementing the proposed approach by Mo-delBuilder.Finally,the paper verifies the proposed approach and tools by experiments with self-made and actual data.The results show that the proposed approach can be used to quickly obtain the spatial Gini coefficient of many research regions in the condi-tion of large data volume,with advantages in such respects as high automation and efficiency,no programming required,conve-nience to share and reuse.关键词
