Analysis of Indonesia's Activities at the World Health Organization during the Cold War:Based on the Perspective of Health Diplomacy

Abstract
During the Cold War,the Indonesia's activities at the World Health Organization were an im-portant component of its health diplomacy.However,the existing research shows relatively little involvement in Indonesia's health diplomacy with the World Health Organization during the Cold War.Having conducted the analysis of declassified historical archives,it was found that Indonesia actively cooperated with the World Health Organization via the health diplomacy to curb the spread of infectious diseases such as smallpox and malaria and alleviate the pressure on its health governance during the Cold War.At the same time,Indonesia's diplomatic activities on the international stage such as the World Health Assembly have become an important means of safeguarding its national interests and enhancing the status and influ-ence of developing countries.The in-depth exploration of Indonesia's activities at the World Health Organ-ization during the Cold War period can be designed to analyze another aspect of Indonesia's foreign policy during the Cold War and understand the historical heritage of contemporary Indonesian health diplomacy in order to glimpse its policy orientation.关键词
