Abstract
Objective To compare the effects of binocular lateral rectus recession vs.monocular lateral rectus recession combined with medial rectus shortening in the treatment of children with basic intermittent exotropia(IXT).Methods 56 children with basic IXT admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to November 2021 were selected and randomly divided into two groups,with 28 cases in each group.The control group was treated with monocular lateral rectus recession combined with medial rectus shortening,and the observation group was treated with binocular lateral rectus recession.The correction effect of eye position and the degree of strabismus before and after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results No significant difference was found in the correction effect of eye position between the two groups(P＞0.05).At 6 months and 12 months after surgery,the near strabismus degree and far strabismus degree of the two groups were lower than those before surgery,and the near strabismus degree and far strabismus degree of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Both binocular lateral rectus recession and monocular lateral rectus recession combined with medial rectus shortening have good correction effects in the treatment of children with basic IXT,but binocular lateral rectus recession has more obvious improvement in strabismus degree of children.关键词
