Abstract
Objective To explore the distribution and characteristics of whole brain activation regions in healthy middle-aged and elderly people during swallowing tasks.Methods The swallowing task was performed on 10 healthy middle-aged and elderly people with right handedness.The distribution of brain activation was observed by functional magnetic resonance imaging.SPM 12 software was used to process and display the functional imaging data.Results When performing swallowing task,multiple brain regions were activated,of which bilateral precentral gyrus,supplementary motor area,postcentral gyrus,basal ganglia,insula and thalamus were the main activated regions,and more brain regions were activated in the left hemisphere than in the right hemisphere.Conclusions The brain regions of primary sensorimotor area,supplementary motor area,insula and thalamus are part of the swallowing neural control network.关键词
