摘要

Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of academic stress on college students'bedtime procrastination and the mul-tiple mediating effects of ego-depletion and attitude towards staying up late.Methods:A sample of 518 college students from Henan province was recruited to complete the Academic Hassle Subscale of College Students'Stress Scale,the Ego-depletion Scale,a Self-designed Questionnaire on Attitude Towards Staying up Late,and the Chinese version of the Bed-time Procrastination Behavior Scale.Results:(1)Correlation analysis showed that academic stress,ego-depletion,attitude towards staying up late and bedtime procrastination were positively correlated with each other.(2)Multiple mediation model-ing indicated academic stress could not directly affect college students'bedtime procrastination,but indirectly affect it through three paths:the simple mediation effect of ego-depletion,the simple mediation effect of attitude towards staying up late,and the serial mediation of ego-depletion and attitude towards staying up late.Conclusion:Ego-depletion and atti-tude towards staying up late exert multiple mediating effect on the relationship between academic stress and bedtime pro-crastination.
