Research on Carbon Component Pollution Characteristics of Fine Particle Matter in Urban Area of Nanjing City from 2016 to 2020

Abstract
In order to study the pollution characteristics of carbon components in the urban area of Nanjing City,this paper uses online monitoring methods to continuously monitor organic carbon(OC)and elemental carbon(EC)in fine particulate matter(PM2.5)at Caochangmen Station from 2016 to 2020.During this period,combining the interannual and seasonal variation characteristics of carbon component mass concentration in the urban area of Nanjing City,the ratio and correlation of OC and EC in PM2.5 are analyzed to clarify the relationship between carbon components and water-soluble ions.The research results indicate that the annual average concentration of OC was higher than EC from 2016 to 2020,and there was a slight decrease in OC concentration from 2017 to 2020,in 2020,the concentration reached its lowest value,a decrease of 51%compared to 2016.The EC concentration gradually decreased from 2016 to reaching its lowest point in 2020,a decrease of 57%compared to 2016.The mass concentrations of OC and EC show significant seasonal differences,with the concentration ranking being winter>spring>autumn>summer.The OC/EC ratio is significantly greater than 2,and there is a significant generation of secondary organic carbon(SOC)in urban PM2.5.The correlation coefficient between OC and EC in PM2.5 shows a high trend in autumn and winter,and a low trend in summer.The correlation between carbon components and secondary salts is strong in autumn and winter,and is greatly affected by secondary transformation.The NO3-/SO42-ratio has been increasing year by year and is greater than 1,indicating that the contribution of mobile source pollution emissions to carbon components is greater than that of fixed sources.关键词
