Abstract

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons have carcinogenic,teratogenic,and mutagenic effects,especially naphthalene and phenanthrene.The naphthalene and phenanthrene in wastewater mostly come from chemical enterprises,and artificial wetlands can be used to remove naphthalene and phenanthrene from wastewater.Taking the artificial wetland at the lake entrance of the Zhulong River in Zibo City as an example,this paper monitors the sediment,water quality,and plants of the wetland,and studies its removal effect on naphthalene and phenanthrene.The results show that the removal rates of naphthalene and phenanthrene by artificial wetlands reach 41.84%and 70.36%,respectively,and Iris pseudacorus has the best enrichment effect on naphthalene and phenanthrene,and the enrichment ability of different plants for naphthalene and phenanthrene is ranked as Iris pseudacorus>Scirpus validus>Phragmites australis>Zizania latifolia.
