Abstract
In order to explore the effects of different types of sodium butyrate on the production performance of piglets,this experiment was conducted to treat sodium butyrate with coating process,90 piglets of 28 d were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups,Group A was fed with basal diet(control group),Group B was fed with"0.2%normal sodium butyrate+basal diet",and Group C was fed with"0.25%coated sodium butyrate+basal diet".The test period was 21 d.The daily feed intake,daily weight gain and occurrence of diarrhea of piglets in each test group were determined.The results showed that compared with Group A,the average daily feed intake,average daily weight gain,diarrhea rate and diarrhea index of Group B and Group C were significantly higher(P<0.05),and the av-erage daily feed intake,average daily weight gain,diarrhea rate and diarrhea index of Group C,and the average daily feed intake,aver-age daily weight gain,diarrhea rate and diarrhea index of Group C supplemented with sodium coated butyrate and Group B supplement-ed with sodium butyrate were significantly higher(P<0.05),supplemented with sodium coated butyrate and Group B supplemented with sodium butyrate were significantly higher(P<0.05),and diarrhea rate and diarrhea index of Group C and Group B supplemented with sodium butyrate were significantly lower(P<0.05).The results showed that the coating treatment of sodium butyrate could signif-icantly improve the production performance of weaned piglets,promote growth,and reduce the occurrence of piglet diarrhea.关键词
