摘要
Abstract
[Purpose/Significance]It is of great value to study the development and characteristics of think tanks in the Philippines and how they can provide solutions to the problems in Philippine national governance and regional governance in Southeast Asia,so as to strengthen the cooperation between China and the Philippines and between China and ASEAN.[Method/Process]This paper combs the basic situation and development process of think tanks in the Philippines,summarizes the basic characteristics of think tanks in the Philippines,and selects a typical think tank as a case to explore its role in national governance in the Philippines and regional governance in Southeast Asia.[Results/Conclusion]The contribution of Philippine think tanks to national governance is mainly reflected in four aspects:providing information and policy suggestions for government social governance,provid-ing policy suggestions for national economic development,expanding political democratization and improving local government governance level,and participating in the government's foreign policy formulation process to safeguard the national interests of the Philippines.The contribution to regional governance is mainly reflected in three aspects:contribution to regional security and stability,contribution to regional human rights protection and contribution to regional environmental protection.关键词
