Metallogenic conditions and potential of sandstone uranium deposits in the Alak lake area of east Kunlun mountains

Abstract
This paper comprehensively analyzes the ore-forming conditions of the Arak lake sandstone uranium deposit in east Kunlun mountains from the perspectives of uranium source,paleoclimate,sedimentary facies,ore bearing formations,tectonic evolution as well as hydrogeological conditions,and explores the ore-forming potential of the sandstone type uranium deposit in the region on this basis.The results indicate that the uranium source conditions in the study area are good,and the intermediate acidic rock bodies in the northern and southern regions provide abundant uranium sources.Braided river delta facies are widely developed in Yaxicuo Formation with relatively stable"mud-sand-mud",gentle stratigraphic occurrence,gently dipping slope zones and relatively well-developed"replenishment-runoff-drainage"hydrodynamic system.Based on the geochemical anomalies and mineralization facts of the water system,it is believed that the sandstone uranium deposit at Yaxicuo formation in Arak Lake area in the middle section of the east Kunlun mountains has good metallogenic potential.The development area of the oil sand mountain formation in Oulongbuluke uplift,especially the braided river facies and its transition zone with shallow lake facies,is a key exploration area.关键词
