Abstract
With the rapid growth of China's economy and the development of the energy industry,China's overseas energy investment once developed relatively fast. However, the scale of China's overseas energy investment has declined significantly due to the global economic slowdown, geopolitical tensions and other reasons since the outbreak of the pandemic. The structure of the investment has been differentiated, oil and gas investment is relatively stable, and new energy investment has risen. The investment area is further concentrated in areas other than Europe and the United States and the proportion of energy investment in the regions along the Belt and Road Initiative has continued to rise.Central enterprises and state-owned enterprises are still the main body of China's overseas energy investment. In the future, the scale of China's overseas energy investment may continue the"L"trend, but oil and gas investment to ensure national energy security will remain active, and the scale and proportion of new energy investment led by clean energy will be further enhanced. The proportion of geopolitical factors to be considered by enterprises will rise significantly and China's overseas energy investment may further focus on regions along the Belt and Road Initiative.Under the new situation,it requires the joint efforts of the government, enterprises, financial institutions, think tanks and research units to ensure the healthy, stable, and orderly development of overseas energy investment.关键词
