Inversion of the constant of modulus of horizontal subgrade reaction by hybrid particle swarm optimization algorithm in layered soil

Abstract
The constant of modulus of horizontal subgrade reaction is an important parameter for deformation calculation of supporting structure in excavations.For the multi-objective optimization problem of inversion of the constant of modulus of horizontal subgrade reaction in layered soil,a back analysis method based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)was proposed which combined with the measured lateral deformation of retaining wall and finite element method for beams.A dual control convergence condition based on precision of the constant of modulus of horizontal subgrade reaction and the objective function were introduced for inversion calculation.The stability conditions of the optimal solutions were given.On the basis of verifying the accuracy of inversion parameters by the numerical model of excavation,the engineering applicability of hybrid particle swarm optimization(breedPSO)algorithm in excavation was further verified by engineering case.In addition,the computational efficiency of different optimization methods and the convergence characteristics of the constant of modulus of horizontal subgrade reaction were discussed.The results showed that the breedPSO algorithm had higher computational efficiency and accuracy,which provided an effective way to estimate the constant of modulus of horizontal subgrade reaction reasonably.关键词
