Ecological Dimension of Pre-Qin Confucian Responsibility Ethics
摘要
Abstract
The pre-Qin Confucians established the status of"responsibility"in ethical thought through in-depth reflection on human relations and humanistic values.Such an ethical responsibility can be extended to the relationship between human and nature.Based on the perspective of"unity between man and nature",pre-Qin Confucians defined three eco-ethical responsibilities:"caring for all things","following the natural order",and"establishing boundaries".Their theoretical value in ecological conservation lies in breaking through the subject-object dichotomy of anthropocentrism,clarifying the boundary between rights and responsibilities of man towards nature,constructing a community of shared life,and promoting ecological initiatives.The pre-Qin Confucians also summarized four principles of ecological practice,namely,the principles of care,moderation,respect and development.These ideologies provide important insights for resolving the current ecological crisis and promoting the virtuous cycle of man and nature and sustainable development.关键词
