摘要

Abstract

Hydrogen sulfide(H2 S)is a colorless gas with a rotten egg odor and can repress mitochondrial respiration by damaging a cytochrome oxidase.Thus,it was previously considered as a toxic gas.Recently,the role of H2S as a novel signal transmitter in plants had been gradually revealed.This paper focused on the biosynthetic pathway and function mechanisms of endogenous H2 S and its roles in plant growth,development,and stress response in plants.It could provide a theoretical foundation for improving crop yield,quality,and stress resistance in agricultural production.
