Recent advances in Pd-based bimetallic catalysts for selective hydrogenation of acetylene

摘要

Abstract

Pd metal is widely used in selective hydrogenation reactions in industry due to its unique electronic structure and excellent activity.Introducing a second metal to form Pd-based bimetals can change the size,morphology,or coordination environment of Pd particles,and thus is an effective way to improve the selectivity.Recently,by using advanced characterization methods and theoretical simulation calculation methods,the research results on the structure-activity relationship and its regulation rules of Pd-based bimetallic catalysts with different synthesis strategies and composition components are reviewd,and three types of Pd-based bimetallic catalysts,including Pd bimetallic nanoclusters,single-atom alloys,and dual-atoms,as well as their preparation methods and applications in selective hydrogenation of acetylene are summarized.Finally,the future development trend of Pd-based bimetallic catalysts is pointed out.
