Abstract

According to the filtration principle and adsorption theory,the main process parameters affecting the re-moval rate of microplastics were analyzed by using the multilayer mesh filtration equation and activated carbon ad-sorption and diffusion equation.On this basis,numerical simulation technology was combined with orthogonal test method to simulate the removal rate of microporous filtration and activated carbon adsorption of microplastics,and the composite process route of microporous copper mesh filtration and activated carbon adsorption of microplastics was determined.The optimal removal process parameter combination was calculated,which was as follows:water ve-locity of 1 m/s,micropore size of 30 μm,and activated carbon porosity of 0.6.Further experimental testing,analysis and verification of the removal effect of microplastics showed that the removal rates of microplastic particles in Chao-hu Lake,Nanyan Lake and Campus Scenic Lake were 92%,94%and 90%,respectively.The final results show that the composite process of microplastics removal in freshwater environment is feasible.
