Abstract

In the late stages of shale gas exploitation,bottom hole liquid loading is common,so drainage gas recovery technology is needed to maintain the stable production of gas wells.Foam drainage gas recovery is widely used as a low-cost,high-efficiency and easy-to-operate drainage gas recovery process.At present,however,the foam content in the shale gas well with foam drainage gas recovery process is mainly determined through regular sampling by on-site personnel,and it is taken as the basis for adjusting the defoaming system.In order to realize unmanned,automatic and digital foam content monitoring in the process of foam drainage for shale gas recovery,this paper develops a foam content monitoring system and then carries out field tests.And the following research results are obtained.First,the foam content monitoring system is reliable in mechanical device sealing,compression and signal transmission,and can meet the requirements of field conditions.Second,the relationship model between the voltage and the foam content obtained through the field test is consistent with the indoor experiment,and both of them are logarithmic.Third,the maximum absolute error between the foam content of manual sampling and the foam content of system monitoring is 13.44%,and the minimum absolute error is 1.13%.Fourth,when the foam content in the pipeline is less than 50.00%,the foam content monitoring system is more suitable in the field.When the foam content is less than 25.00%,the system has higher detection accuracy.In conclusion,the development and test of the foam content monitoring system verifies the feasibility of foam content monitoring based on infrared ray and establishes the mapping model between foam content and voltage value suitable for field conditions,which is of practical significance for realizing the automation,networking and cloud based development of foam content monitoring in shale gas wells with a foam drainage gas recovery process.
