Equity of rural doctor allocation in Gansu Province
摘要
Abstract
Objective To analyze the allocation of rural doctors and its equity in Gansu Province in 2018,andto provide a scientific basis for rational allocation of rural doctors.Methods Cities in Gansu Province were assigned into four types of regions by GDP per capita.The distribution of rural doctors in different regions and the differences between groups in age and education were described.The equity of rural doctor allocation was evaluated by using Gini index,Lorenz curve,Theil index and health resource agglomeration.Results There were differ-ences in the GDP per capita,the number of rural doctors per 1000 total population,age and education of rural doctors among different regions(P＜0.05).Total or regional distribution of rural doctors was relatively equal based on total population and rural population,and the resource aggregation was close to each other in different re-gions.The allocation of rural doctors was unfair based on geographic distribution,which was mainly due to the in-ternal differences within regions.There was a large gap in the resource aggregation among regions.Conclusions The number of rural doctors in Gansu Province in 2018 met the requirements of the national plan,but the equity of geographical distribution was poor,and the age and education structure of rural doctors also needed to be opti-mized.关键词
