Operational sustainability of basic medical insurance fund for urban and rural residents in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

Abstract
Objective To predict the fund operation status of the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2023 to 2027,analyze the problems existing in the operation,and put forward suggestions for the stable operation and sustainable development of the fund.Methods Based on the data of basic medical insurance fund for urban and rural residents in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2017 to 2022,grey prediction model was adopted to predict and analyze the income and expenditure of the insur-ance fund from 2023 to 2027.Results From 2023 to 2027,the support capacity of the fund is continuously im-proved,and the fund income and expenditure are sustainable.However,the fund operation still has problems such as the declining number of the insured,the unreasonable financing structure,the fund operation risk of the league city,and the high accumulated balance.Conclusions Although the fund is sustainable in the short term,we still need to strengthen the publicity of medical insurance policies and fund collection,establish a continuous insurance mechanism,explore scientific financing mechanism,optimize the fund-raising structure,gradually promote the provincial overall planning,appropriately adjust the level of payment according to the fund income,so as to ensure the sustainable development of the fund.关键词
