Abstract
Choline is an essential nutrient for animal growth and development.It has many physiological functions,such as maintaining cell membrane integrity,participating in fat metabolism and acetylcholine synthesis.Choline chloride is usually added to the feed,but the common choline chloride has some defects such as strong hygroscopic property,easy to be degraded by rumen microorganisms and destruction of other nutrient substance activity.The coated choline chloride overcomes the defect of ordinary choline chloride and is widely used in ruminant industry.In this article,we review the necessity of choline chloride protection,the protective methods of choline chloride and the nutritional effects of coated choline chloride on animals,in order to provide a reference for the further application of coated choline chloride in ruminants.关键词
