视动性眼球震颤法在18月～4岁儿童视力检测中的应用研究
Application of Optokinetic Nystagmus-Based Method in Visual Acuity Testing of Children Aged 18 Months to 4 Years

Abstract
Objective This study aimed to automatically assess the distance visual acuity in children aged 18 months to 4 years using the principles of OKN and computer image recognition with tracking technology.It also aimed to describe the distribution of normal visual acuity among children of different age groups.Methods From May to July 2023,children in age groups of 18 months,24 months,30 months,3 years,and 4 years visiting the health examination clinic of Jiangsu Maternal and Child Health Hospital underwent routine pediatric eye health examinations.Additionally,their monocular distance visual acuity was assessed using an automatic OKN visual acuity testing device.The study analyzed the measurable rate of visual acuity in children of different age groups and the distribution of OKN visual acuity values in normal children.Results A total of 655 children were examined,including 339 boys and 316 girls,with an overall measurable rate of 82.14％.There were statistically significant differences in the measurable rates among different age groups,which increased with age(x2=12.551,P=0.014).After excluding abnormal cases,the 80th percentile values of OKN visual acuity in the right eye of the normal reference population were 4.3 in the 18-month group,4.3 in the 24-month group,and 4.3 in the 30-month group,with no statistically significant differences between any two groups(P=0.260,P=0.990).The 80th percentile value of OKN visual acuity was 4.5 in the 3-year group and 4.6 in the 4-year group,with a statistically significant difference between the groups(P＜0.001).Conclusion The automatic OKN visual acuity testing method demonstrated a high measurable rate in children aged 18 months to 4 years.Normal visual acuity values at different stages of early childhood have important practical applica-tions in assessing visual development and detecting eye dis-eases affecting visual acuity in children.关键词
