Difference of Heat Transfer Sensation and Moxibustion Effect of Modified Long-Snake Moxibustion Based on Evaluation of Moxibustion Sensation Scale in CFS Patients with Yang Deficiency of Spleen and Kidney with Different Moxibustion Duration

Abstract
Objective:To observe the law of heat transfer and the curative effect of modified long-snake moxibustion with different durations in treating chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS)of Yang deficiency of Spleen and Kidney.Methods:60 CFS patients with Yang deficiency of Spleen and Kidney were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=30)and the control group(n=30).Both groups were treated with long-snake moxibustion,but the single moxibustion duration of the treatment group was 60 min and the control group was 30 min,3 times a week for 4 consecutive weeks,a total of 12 times.The heat transfer perception scale was scored after each treatment,and the fatigue scale-14 was evaluated at baseline,week 2(the 6th treatment),and week 4(the 12th treatment).Results:The heat transfer sensation of the two groups reached the peak on the 8th and 11th times respectively(VAS=17.90/17.77).In the 4th week,the fatigue scores of the two groups were decreased compared with those of the baseline(P＜0.05),and the total scores of physical fatigue and fatigue scale were lower in the treatment group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).In the baseline-2nd week,the correlation between the moxibustion sensation and the moxibustion effect was stronger and more numerous in the treatment group than that in the control group.Conclusion:The course of treatment is an important factor affecting the accumulation of moxibustion sensation in the modified long-snake moxibustion.The heat transfer sensation is negatively correlated with the moxibustion effect index score,that is,the heat transfer sensation and the moxibustion effect are positively correlated.A single 60 min modified long-snake moxibustion is super to a single 30 min one,in terms of faster optimum heat transfer sensation and significant fatigue improvement.关键词
