Cyanobacterial Blooms in Reservoirs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area:Characteristics and Control Strategies
摘要
Abstract
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a key area for development of China.Reservoir is an important source for water supply in the area,and cyanobacteria bloom is the major ecological and environmental problem in the reservoirs.The quality of water environment was greatly improved with the implementation of strictest water resources management,however,an increasing trend of cyanobacteria bloom events was observed in the reservoirs,and the ecological problems caused by cyanobacteria blooms are still serious.It is extremely important to understand the bloom characteristics and occurrence mechanism for further development of bloom control.This study summarized the composition of bloom-forming cyanobacteria and the temporal-spatial feature of cyanobacteria blooms in the reservoirs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and proposed specific suggestions.关键词
