Progress in the application of diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space in brain glymphatic system related diseases

Abstract
The brain glymphatic system is an important pathway for the clearance of metabolic waste in the brain,and its functional changes can be non-invasively evaluated through diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space(DTI-ALPS).Currently,the DTI-ALPS method has been widely used to assess changes in brain glymphatic system diseases,spanning conditions such as Alzheimer's disease(AD),Parkinson's disease(PD),epilepsy,cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD),stroke,and other systemic diseases.This article introduces the basic principles and technological progress of the DTI-ALPS method and reviews its application in the brain glymphatic system.关键词
