Effect of polymyxin E sodium mesilate in the treatment of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii pneumonia

Abstract
Objective This paper aims to investigate the effect of polymyxin E sodium mesilate in the treatment of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii pneumonia to provide evidence for clinical treatment.Methods Three patients admitted to the intensive care unit of Tongji Hospital,Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from December 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the study participants.They were treated with polymyxin E sodium mesilate in combination with other drugs.A series of infection-related parameters and organ function changes were collected from patients with multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii infection after the use of polymyxin E sodium mesilate.Re-sults After treatment,the patients finally demonstrated good treatment outcomes.Conclusion Polymyxin E sodium mesil-ate is effective in the treatment of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii pneumonia,but it should be carefully select-ed in combination with drugs with potential renal impairment.关键词
