Abstract
Objective This study aimed to explore the effect of case design combined with situational simulation exercises in orthopedic nursing teaching.Methods Thirty-two nurses who worked in the Bone & Trauma Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from August to December 2022 were selected as the study participants.They were assigned to the control group and the study group according to different teaching methods,with 16 nurses in each group.The nurses in the control group received conventional simulation exercises for teaching;the nurses in the study group,case design combined with situational simulation exercises for teaching.The teaching effect and nurses'degree of satisfaction with teaching in the 2 groups were compared.Results After teaching and training,the scores of operation profi-ciency,safety awareness,preparation efficiency,after-nursing treatment,and communication effect with patients in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After teaching training,the scores of the nurses'degree of satisfaction with teaching in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group in eight aspects:health awareness,clinical skills,communication ability,scientific research innovation ability,problem analy-sis and solution ability,knowledge mastery,stimulating learning interest,and clinical thinking ability improvement(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of case design combined with scenario simulation exercises in orthopedic nursing teach-ing can effectively improve the teaching effect and promote the nurses'degree of satisfaction with teaching,justifying a wider application in nursing clinical teaching.关键词
