Role of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and gonadal axis in perimenopausal depression
摘要
Abstract
As a common affective disorder,depression has become the second largest health burden worldwide.An important feature of depression is that women are twice more likely to develop depression,which may be related to changes in neuroendocrine hormones,such as perinatal depression,perimenopausal depression(PMD).Perimenopause is a fragile window of female reproduction,which is more affected by various factors,espeically the fluctuation of hormone levels in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal(HPA)axis and hypothal-amus-pituitary-gonadal(HPG)axis,leading to the body's depression,anxiety and other depressive symptoms.This paper reviews the research progress of HPA axis and HPG axis and perimenopausal depression in recent years,in or-der to provide new ideas and reference value for the diagnosis and treatment of perimenopausal depression and de-pression.关键词
